Dennis Chaney, M.P.A., is the Public Health Director for Barren River District Health Department in Bowling Green, which serves over 240,000 residents in eight counties in south central Kentucky. Mr. Chaney earned a B.S. from Georgetown College and a Master of Public Administration from UK. Before joining Barren River, he was administrator of a not-for-profit hospital for Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc. in Harlan, Morgan and Perry Counties.
He is President of the Kentucky Public Health Association and serves on the boards of the South-Central Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. He is also on the Board of Stakeholders for Western Kentucky University’s College of Health and Human Services.
