Robert W. Brooks is Vice President for Education and Research at Trover Clinic Foundation, Inc. in Madisonville. He is responsible for the comprehensive educational programs, research and telemedicine activities of the Foundation. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 1970, Mr. Brooks worked for the Kentucky and Arizona departments of health before joining Trover in 1986. Mr. Brooks is past-president of the Kentucky Rural Health Association; a member of the Murray State University Regional Stewardship Advisory Committee; and serves on the boards of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, Kentucky Primary Care Association and the Kentucky Institute of Medicine. Mr. Brooks is an active member of the National Rural Health Association, American Management Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Kentucky Rural Health Association. He has spent much of his professional career working to improve healthcare for at-risk individuals and families in both rural and inner-city environments. Working with local communities to assess their health care needs, Mr. Brooks continues to serve as a guiding force in this area. He resides on a farm in northern Hopkins County with his wife, Deborah.
