Bill Wagner, M.S.S.W., is the Executive Director of the Family Health Centers Inc. (FHC) in Louisville, Kentucky, where he has worked in various administrative capacities for the past 27 years. He has been FHC’s Executive Director since 1998, and is responsible for seven community health center sites serving more than 43,000 individuals annually in Louisville and Jefferson County. Approximately 60% of FHC’s patients are uninsured, and 70% have incomes below the federal poverty level.
Mr. Wagner is one of the founders of Kentucky’s Region 3 Medicaid Managed Care Partnership known as Passport Health Plan. He is Chairman of the Passport Partnership Council and the Regional KCHIP Coalition and serves on the Board of Directors of University Health Care, the Kentucky Primary Care Association and the Louisville Primary Care Association. He is a member of the Finance and Personnel Committee of the Louisville Metro Board of Health.
He earned his B.S. from the University of Dayton, and is a graduate of the University of Louisville where he earned a Masters Degree in Social Work with concentration in comprehensive health services. In 2006, Mr. Wagner was named the UofL Alumni Fellow from the Kent School of Social Work.
